Art of Architecture
Woodbury University has partnered with the Burbank YMCA to offer a specialty summer camp that balances theoretical components of architecture with the fun and excitement of summer camp. This youth program is taught by architects and designers at Woodbury University’s School of Architecture.
Structured as an art-based class, students are introduced to the vocabulary, structure, and process of an architecture studio. Engaging and inventive, the classes are hands-on with model building, drawing, digital 3D modeling, rapid prototyping technologies and creative thinking. Students design buildings and neighborhoods while developing their ability to critically assess their built environment.
This camp is held on Woodbury University’s campus and serves young people who will be entering grades 5 through 9.
